Israeli spacecraft prepares to land on moon

Israel's Beresheet spacecraft is in lunar orbit and will attempt the country's first-ever - and first commercial - landing on the moon on Thursday, April 11. Click in for some amazing photos it has taken during its journey.

Today in science: Bingham Canyon landslide
On April 10, 2013, one of the largest non-volcanic landslides in the history of North America took place at the Bingham Canyon mine in Utah. The slide produced enough debris to bury New York City’s Central Park 66 feet (20 meters) deep. Check out this image.
What causes landslides and mudslides?

Hubble Telescope joins a Messier Marathon
View at EarthSky Community Photos. |  Omid Ghadrdan in Iran wrote: "On March 7 and 8, I attended a Messier Marathon. Over 150 stargazers started this dusk-to-dawn competition to look for the Messier objects with their telescopes … During this contest, around 4:40 a.m. in the Friday morning, Hubble Space Telescope passed above us.
