Sunwatchers are still tracking those 2 huge sunspot groups making their way across the Earth-facing side of the sun. Then yesterday there was a giant X-flare! Watch for possible auroras.

A NASA mission to return a sample from an asteroid will soon get a planned gravity assist from Earth. You can spot the spacecraft in the sky and submit images … or participate in NASA's Wave to OSIRIS-REX campaign.

You can see the 2 giant sunspots – AR2673 and AR2674 – as the sun is setting.” The sunspots are visible to the eye, but you must use a safe solar filter. Your eclipse glasses will work!
